The elusive Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau III has released a new audio claiming to be alive and in charge of the death cult.
Shekau III has not been seen for months with his two releases being audio editions only.
The first Shekau was killed in August of 2013. Since then several imposters have assumed the “Shekau” role.
After a new leader of Boko Haram, 38 year old Muhammadu Daud appeared in a video and the president of Chad Idriss Deby declared that Shekau had been overthrown, this audio was generated.
Experts believe Shekau is kept immortal with video and speech computer synthesis.
In this audio, Shekau also yabbed Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari for promising to eliminate the evil Boko Haram cult by the end of this year.
