Youth of the Borno Social Media Frontiers, BSF facebook platform, a group of over 16,000 members have not taken nicely to a declaration by the Borno State government to employ 5,000 Civilian-JTF youth as street and government building cleaners.
Abatcha Modu Mailari of the group said:
“Last time you establish the interlocking training program for the youths for some months but at last u graduated them with 2000 naira as take up package. The news circulating on media now is that you are planing to recruit 5000 youths as street cleaners. Will you employ your child or children of your cabinet as street cleaners? These youths you call CJTF need to be educated so that they will become governors, commisioners, president or ministers in future.”
Another member, Zanna Modu Galadima said:
“What of the offices and ministries, can’t you employ them as office holders? Always you want our brothers to be useless in the street softeners…can’t you give us your son to work with us?”
