Two new fresh suspected cases of Ebola Virus Disease have been reported in the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos State.
One of the two unconfirmed cases discovered in the hospital, one is reported to have died at the emergency ward of the teaching hospital after throwing vomit at the premises. However, his body has been picked by Lagos State emergency unit.
Meanwhile, the second suspected patient of the virus is also said to be in critical condition and under the intensive care of qualified and trained medical personnel on Ebola Virus Disease. The victim is currently in the spill over ward, another arm of the emergency ward in the hospital.
Further spread of the virus is being averted as medical personnel and health workers are stopping both patients and visitors from accessing the premises of the emergency ward while disinfection takes place.
