BREAKING: Soldiers Reportedly Invade Onitsha Church And Shoot And Kill; Resume High Alert For Protests

The Nigerian army was ordered to be in high alert after soldiers reportedly invaded a catholic Church in Onothsa, Anambra state and opened fire on unarmed worshippers.

It is not sure if there was a protest being organised at the Church but several reports and images show at least two killed.

Soldiers have reportedly invaded a Catholic Church in Nkpor, near Onitsha, Anambra State.

The invasion was said to have taken place early this morning as people were participating in Mass.

The mission of the soldiers is yet unknown. Reports from the area said several worshippers were shot dead but News Express Anambra State Correspondent Pamela Eboh said only two people appeared to have been killed in the shooting.

News Express has contacted Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, via text message and WhatsApp and is awaiting his response.
