The International Labour Organisation Country (ILO) Country Director in Nigeria, Ms. Sinanzeni Chuma-Mkandawire, has said despite curtailing the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), Nigeria must maintain a heightened alert, as the nation still stands the risk of an outbreak with the continued spread in West Africa and new cases around the world.
According to The Nation Newspaper, Ms. Sinanzeni, who spoke at a one-day interactive session on Post ILC 2014, said Nigeria still remains at an elevated risk of an Ebola outbreak because of the continued spread of the disease and the free movement of people within the ECOWAS member-states.
