July 14, 2013

NewsRescue– Beautiful and electric Nigerian singer and performer, Zara Gretti, who has been struck with Multiple Sclerosis, made a passionate request for donations to help with her medical bills, as she combats the chronic illness. Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and entire nervous system, leading to problems with balance, walking, talking, coordination, sight among others. It usually relapses with relief and sometimes progressively gets worse.

US born Zara (Margaret Mary Oluwatoyin Ejiro Joseph), who had moved to Nigeria to pursue her music career is now in the US for medical treatment. She has been in and out of the hospital, and in the video, she solicited help so she can soon return home, to Nigeria. She has to pay her hospital bills from pocket, as being Nigerian resident, and due to the intricacies of the US medical system, her bills are not covered.

Zara is grateful for donations from USA, Ghana, UK and London among other nations that she has thus received. She has raised over $7,000.00 so far. Donation website: http://www.gofundme.com/3gc96s
