In ensuring electorates vote right and wisely at the next 2015 general elections, a group ‘I Have Decided’ recently organized a training workshop programme for its volunteers on how to effectively engage the electorates ahead of the elections.

The event, which was held at Ikeja, Lagos had selected volunteers numbering more than 200 from across the local governments in Lagos, Oyo and Ogun State.

In a chat with Mr Kola Oyeneyin, a member of the group, he said the workshop is very different in Nigeria as it differs from the conventional way of hosting workshop seminar.

“The workshop training is to engage people who are seeking for true change in the country,” Oyeneyin mentioned.

Another member of the team, Dupe Killa, who spoke with our correspondent, said the workshop programme is a convention of the ‘I Have Decided’ volunteers from different part of the states-Lagos, Ogun and Oyo.

Her words: “Our focus area is security, job, anti-corruption, and economy. This workshop programme gives opportunity for volunteers to discuss this and at the end return to their respective communities to sensitize and convince the people why they should vote competent candidates at the next elections.”

The workshop programme segregated volunteers according to Local Governments and wards to ensure the message of change gets to the grassroots.

Volunteers at the programmes showed their enthusiasm as they declared to work with the group to take the gospel of change to their respective wards.

They also stated their commitment to ensure General Mohammed Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo, President and Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), wins the Presidential election.
