Unidentified gunmen in the early hours of today set ablaze the office of MTN in West End area in the troubled city of Maiduguri.
Masts of telecommunication companies were also burnt down in different parts of the metropolis between Tuesday night and early morning today.
Daily Trust sources said the assailants about 10 in number stormed the telecommunication office around 2:00 am and chased away security men on duty before burning down the building.
Areas were telecommunication masts were destroyed include Bolori, Ngaranam, Dala Alamdiri, Adam Kolo, Limanti, Gwange, Bayan Quarters and West end Area.
Spokesman of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Lt. Col Sagir Musa confirmed the attack on facilities of telecommunication companies in the metropolis but said he will brief the press later on the incident. -DailyTrust
