Kaduna Commissioner Distributes Motorcycles, Sewing Machines To Youth, Women Groups

Kaduna State Commissioner of finance, Alhaji Samaila Aliyu distributed motorcycles, sewing machines, bicycles, and two vehicles to women and youth groups in Makarfi Local Government Area of the state.

He also commissioned an Information Computer Centre named after the state governor “Dallatu ICT Centre Makarfi”.

According to him, the ICT will assist in entrenching ICT knowledge among youth, women and teachers in the area.

The  commissioner said the gesture was to empower such women, youth groups to be self dependent through job creation and support to small and medium scale enterprises.

He also added that about 2000 people have been enrolled into the Community Based Social Health Insurance Scheme under his sponsorship.

” We have settled their contribution to enable them enjoy free access to health care services for the next one year.

“Equally 42 cooperative groups have also been mobilized and facilitated their registration with a bank account for each one of them with a sum of 50,000 naira

“As seed money to enable them take advantage of the KDSG-BOI and KDSG-BOA matching funds.

“As well as other funding windows designed to support the development of micro small and medium Enterprises in the state,”he said

Governor Muktar Ramalan Yero who chaired the distribution of the poverty alleviation materials to the people.

He lauded the commissioner for a job well done and appealed to wealthy individuals  in the community to emulate him.
