The speaker, Nigeria Youth Parliament (NYP), Hon Abdullahi MaiBasira, has lamented the non-inclusion of youth in the Presidential Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges in the North that is saddled with the responsibility of negotiating amnesty with members of the dreaded Boko Haram sects in the north.

MaiBasira, who led a delegation of youth leaders to the secretariat of the committee at the State House banquet hall yesterday said they have great stake in the peace of the region and the country at large and should be engaged constructively on the activities of the committee as this according to him would bring the committee closer to the youth who are directly affected.

Reacting, the chairman of the committee and minister of Special Duties and Governmental Affairs, Alhaji Taminu Turaki, assured that the committee would commission 200 Nigeria youths as peace ambassadors, who will go round the country to preach the message of peace and peaceful co-existence.
