They went to collect their own share of the national cake not knowing that that would be the end of their existence on earth.

Eleven PDP women leaders who went on a courtesy visit to First Lady Patience Jonathan died in a fatal crash along East West road in Rivers State last week.

NAN confirmed today that the Bayelsa Government has concluded plans to give them a befitting mass burial because 9 of them were burnt beyond recognition.

Their burial ceremonies will hold tomorrow in accordance with the Ijaw tradition.

After the tragic crash, tongues have been wagging that the First Lady allegedly used the women for election victory ritual for her husband.

A source said the family members of 3 of the women have challenged Patience Jonathan to come out clean because she was the one who invited them to the impromptu secret meeting.

May their souls rest in peace.

Update: Patience Jonathan Deadly Crash: How Seriake Dickson Reportedly Saved His Wife From Death!

NewsRescue has just been informed that while there is much sorrow in many elite family homes in Bayelsa including that of the wife of Professor Edmond Allison-Oguru, the Secretary to the State Government, there is a bit of anxious relief in the Dickson home.

According to sources close to the Bayelsa first family, the governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson had advised his wife Rachael not to go on the “Women For Change Initiative’’ organization trip at the behest of Nigeria’s first lady, Patience Jonathan on Valentines day, Saturday February 14th…the date of the postponed presidential elections.

Mrs Rachael Dickson had insisted but governor Dickson had strongly prohibited her from making the journey, categorically warning her that “did she want to die on such a venture at the request of the First Lady?”

The governor’s instincts were proven right as the vehicle transporting the Bayelsa dignitaries crashed on the  Ahoada axis of the East-West road in Rivers, killing and burning 11 PDP women. The governor’s wife had escaped by the hairs of her head thanks to his warning.
