Roads Should Be Constructed According To World Best Practices, Says Mato

The member of the House of Representative representing Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State, Rt. Hon Mrs Dorothy Mato with her colleagues in the House Committee on Works as part of their Oversight Functions, inspected road construction projects in the North Central of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which invariably covers her constituency.

The inspection covers the states of Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau and was carried out by Hon Mrs Dorothy Mato, the Deputy Chairman of House Committee on Works, Hon Amuda-Kannike Abubakar Garba, Hon Loveth Idisi and Hon Austin Chukwukere.

The first port of call was the dualization of Abuja-Lokoja Road ( Abuja-Koton Karfe). The Okene-Ajaokuta-Itebo road was also inspected which the Kogi State Commissioner for Works participated. The Oshegbudu-Oweto road of Benue State was also inspected. Other areas will be covered in due course.

Rep Mato says, “we owe our people a duty to ensure that good roads are constructed according to world best practices to curtail and mitigate incidences of accidents and road mishaps”. “God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.” She said.
