Embattled and escapist Senate President Bukola Saraki’s corruption will commence officially before the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja.

Chairman of the Tribunal; Justice Danlami Umar today struck out an application by his counsel challenging the jurisdiction of the tribunal.

Saraki had filed a motion to quash corruption charges relating to the Senate President’s false declaration of assets . His lawyer, Kanu Agabi had challenged the jurisdiction of the tribunal citing cases like a related dismissal of charges against former Lagos State governor Bola Tinubu.

Danladi Umar said that the case is within the purview of the tribunal and declared that the tribunal was ready to go on with the trial.

Most of Nigeria’s Senators have backed corruption and the corrupt Senate President in a show of shame and hate for the citizens of the country.
