Nigeria President, Service Chiefs never resign despite greater breaches
The first family had left the White House shortly before a man climbed over a fence Sept. 19 and made his way into the building.

Julia Pierson offered her resignation Oct. 1, which was accepted by Sec. of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson. Joseph Clancy, former Special Agent in charge of presidential detail, was named Acting Director of the Secret Service.

Pierson told the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Sept. 30 that automatic locks had been added to the north door of the White House following the recent security incident. Pierson also said there are 327 active investigations into presidential security.
