13 Months Since the Abduction of #ChibokGirls

Thursday 14th May 2015 marked exactly 13 months (395 days) since the abduction of over 200 girls. Though many other girls, boys, women and the elderly were abducted, but the abduction of Chibok girls was one that shocked the world. Recently, many girls and women were set free from Sambisa forest, but after identification, reports have it that they are not Chibok girls. It is most unfortunate and disheartening that the Sambisa women found were said to be impregnated by insurgents.

Just like Chibok girls, the slaughtered Buni Yadi boys, Baga massacre, Nyanya bombings etc will continued to be remembered in our prayers. The families and relatives of the victims should take heart and be calm as God Almighty will judge between his servants.

Against all odd, life must continue. We must continue praying for our one and only country, Nigeria and our leaders for peace, unity and development of our country.

I call on the incoming government to set up a special committee for the rehabilitation of the North east region and post insurgency trauma. The government should also please pay compensation to families of victims, and support the endowment fund. Government should secure the lives, properties of all Nigerians and defend the territorial integrity of our country.
