The All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari yesterday stated that Nigeria was losing the war against insurgency because of the low moral in the military, the police and other paramilitary services.
Buhari who spoke yesterday , at the APC presidential rally held in Makurdi, the Benue state capital said his administration would effectively tackle the inadequacies in the nation’s security services in order to reposition it for better service delivery.
According to him, “the moral of the military, the police and the paramount military are very low otherwise how come our soldiers cannot fight the insurgents back because of no weapons despite the huge amounts spent on the military.”
He stated that when he assumes power, “our soldier and police will not buy uniform and shoes, they will be provided so that they will be well motivated to be in charge to tackle security issues in the country.”

The former Head of State further stated that aside security, his administration would also accord greater attention to issues of agriculture, corruption and unemployment promising to lead by example.
He said agricultural inputs and fertilizers will be provided for farmers to boost food production in order to tackle unemployment in the country.
In his speech, Senate Minority Leader, Senator George Akume noted that General Buhari had never been found wanting in every responsibility entrust him advising that the people of the state should vote for him in order to effect positive change in the county.
Also speaking, former PDP Board of Trustees member and APC decampee, Senator Barnabas Gemade said the country would witness tremendous change if the APC won the presidential election.
He urged the electorates to effectively use their voters card to effect the change the masses craved for in country.
