Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, has vowed that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will dislodge the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bayelsa State in the next gubernatorial election.
He stated this during a courtesy call on Governor Rotimi Amaechi on Friday at the Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt.
Accompanied by some former Bayelsa council chairmen, Sylva remarked that the APC in the state was on victory path and would do everything necessary to kick out Governor Seriake Dickson.
“We are united, we are ready, we are marching on to chase out those presently occupying there.”
The former governor enjoined Amaechi to continue to support the APC as the party seeks to defeat the PDP both at the national and state levels.
Responding, Governor Amaechi thanked the delegation for the visit.
He advised the national leadership of the APC to reconcile factions within its fold Bayelsa state, urging its members to sheathe their swords and work towards ending the reign of the PDP come 2015.
