Boko Haram Captures Chibok As Nigerian Army Flees

Boko Haram has returned to Chibok Township in Borno state, the scene of its most celebrated notorious kidnapping of over 200 high school girls in April 2014.

This time, the sect militants reportedly killed an unspecified number of villagers.

The rest of the villagers had escaped through bush parts and headed to Damboa after Nigerian troops fled the village.

Residents who spoke to SaharaReporters said the sect militants had arrived last night and began shooting randomly before heading to the village center to announce it has taken it over as part of its Islamist caliphate.
