Religious leaders from Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism have formed an unprecedented interfaith coalition to coordinate humanitarian relief efforts in conflict zones worldwide.

The coalition, named the Global Faith Alliance for Humanity, announced plans to deploy combined resources worth over $2 billion to provide food, shelter, and medical care to displaced populations.

Pope Francis, who co-chairs the alliance alongside the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, described the initiative as "a powerful demonstration that our shared humanity transcends all differences."

The alliance will operate through existing faith-based humanitarian organizations already active in affected regions, leveraging their established networks and local knowledge.

Initial relief operations are being directed toward five priority regions, with plans to expand to additional areas as coordination mechanisms are refined.
