ENDS.ng, Nigerian philanthropic, sociopolitical organisation has today distributed a latest batch of 7000 pieces of clothes and related items to displaced parents and children at the Bakasi camp and Teachers village camp in Borno.
The distribution was conducted by Ali Usman Garga, Zannah Mohammed and other agents and volunteers along with NEMA officials.
ENDS was able to distribute 6000 pieces to the WTC camp in Maiduguri last week and from Abuja Mohammed Sabo Keana was able to deliver 15 bags to the Yobe State government for distribution, who graciously also helped in transporting them from Abuja earlier this month.
We thank all Nigerians who continue to donate their great clothes and other items and who have helped us volunteer, advertise, transport and assist at all levels in making this possible.
Clothes Drive national coordinator, Baba Aliko thanks Jos’ JCID (Jasawa Initiative For Community Development) for their endless unbelievable clothes and fund gathering work; Barrister Mohammed Tukur of UNHCR for his assistance with transportation of 13 bags and also thanks Mamman Barbra and Bukar Mai Modu Gonin for their assistance with the Yobe State government.
Freedom Fm Kano, Top 90.9 Fm Lagos and other stations who have helped us promote the drive and collect clothes cannot be thanked enough. We also thank Mamman Ngabra of Ngabra oil for using his trucks to help ship several sacks in Lagos to Borno. And so many others to many to thank.
There are 2-3 million displaced persons. The desperate need remains wide open.
Please visit ENDS: #IDPClothesDrive for donation support.
