Keyamo Petitions Buratai, Seeks N50m Over Alleged Assault On Lawyer

By Bertram Nwannekanma

LAGOS lawyer, Fetus Keyamo, has written to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, seeking the sum of N50 million as compensation for the alleged brutality, assault and molestation of a fellow Lagos lawyer, Adeyemi Akintoye, by two military men on February 11, 2016 at Yaba market, Lagos.

Keyamo, in the letter signed on his behalf by the Practice Manager of his Lagos chambers, Mrs. Teen Wills-Obong and Somadina Eugene Okorie, also demanded that the culprits be fished out, disciplined and made to publicly apologise to the lawyer as well as offset his medical expenses.

The fiery lawyer also threatened legal action against the Nigerian Army in the event that it ignores, refuses and/or neglects to heed the demands within 30 days of the receipt of the letter.
