The group warned yesterday, “To the IOCs, indigenous oil companies and Nigerian Military, watch out, something big is about to happen and it will shock the whole world,” as spokesman Mudoch Agbinibo, announced the promotion of the fighters, who carried out the devastating attacks to the rank of Brigadier-General.
IOC stands for indigenous oil companies.
The group repeated the warning again today, Saturday after announcing their most recent terror act in Bayelsa state: the blowing up of “Nembe 1, 2 and 3 Brass to Bonny Trunk Line belonging to Agip and Shell.”
The groups said: “Something Big is About to Happen.”
The group has promised it will soon commence abducting people.
The capacity of this group which campaigns for the release of former corrupt National Security Adviser, NSA Sambo Dasuki and Biafra separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is definitely to be reckoned with. Public commentator Dr. Peregrino Brimah postulated that perhaps the former government and NSA planted the bombs to be remotely detonated if or when they are arrested. This cannot be verified.
Nigeria’s federal government is desperately seeking the help of former militants in the region. An action the group has derided. “We demand sovereignty and have no care for pipeline contracts,” the group retorted.
The Niger Delta stakeholder's meeting is an insult to the people of Niger Delta. What we need is a Sovereign State not pipeline Contracts.
