PremiumTimes‘ reports that the Jonathan government through Sokoto Prince, NSA Sambo Dasuki paid foreign companies linked to former Jonathan administration’s media aide, Doyin Okupe from a cyber war budget of almost $1 billion to hack antagonist websites like NewsRescue and place on them DDOS (Domain Denial of Service) attacks.

NewsRescue fell under such repeated attacks ahead of the 2015 elections. It has been witnessed that NewsRescue suffered greatly from attacks and had to spend thousands of dollars to fight off attacks and restore its service repeatedly.
