Nigeria’s President, Service and Security Chief have held INEC chairman Attahiru Jega in a crucial meeting since early today. Our intel sources say the presidency and army chiefs are asking Jega to refrain from using the card reader or resign. The PDP has been accused of being desperate to dismiss use of the card readers so as to permit PDP rigging which the PVC readers will help prevent.

Two armed terrorist groups, OPC and MASSOB had “prepared the grounds” by “protesting” on behalf of the ruling PDP in the days leading up to the summoning of the INEC chief.

Meanwhile sources have informed NewsRescue that the armed military presence has been beefed-up in and around Aso Rock. We are unable to figure the reason for this beefed-up security at the seat of presidency.

Update; 18/3: Jega under serious threat; being forced to resign or drop the card readers. They also would like Jega to postpone the elections again. The professor is seriously considering giving up as his life is under threat according to sources close to him.

We will keep you updated…
