Azubuike Ihejirika is a retired lieutenant general and former chief of army staff of the Nigeria Army. His palatial and eye-popping estate erected along Jabi Airport Road Junction in Abuja was sealed yesterday by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, who swooped on the property with heavily-armed security forces.
Ihejirika made attempts to become the governor of Abia State when he left office and he was named as one of the sponsors of Boko Haram by an Australian investigator.
The most obvious question Nigerians are asking now is this: where did a soldier get the money to build this massive edifice? Definitely not from his salary, so where did the money come from? See the photos of the residence below:
