International journalists have continued to complain that the Federal government of Nigeria is still blocking their visas to Nigeria.
Over 7 international journalists NewsRescue works with have had their visa applications stalled for up to 6 months with no reason given.
The Jonathan government is said to be afraid of international exposure to the Boko Haram crises that has killed over 100,000 innocent Nigerians and displaced over 3 million. Also Jonathan has openly demonstrated that he will deny international journalists from covering the March general elections., Towards this, journalists’ visas have been denied.
Nigeria is described to be being run under an authoritarian regime.
