A Former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Clark has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the Governors of Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States and replace them with military administrators.
Clark said this when some prominent Nigerians met under a political platform of the Congress for Equity and Change at the Asokoro residence of Clark in Abuja on Tuesday.
They said this was the only way the government could wage war against the Boko Haram insurgency in the affected states. They also added that full-scale state of emergency regime was needed in other to bring an end to the reign of terror in the troubled states in the North-East.
The group stressed that only a full-scale State of emergency in the affected states and the appointment of military administrators to take charge of affairs in those areas would bring an end to activities of the insurgents.
The political group also charged the Nigerian Armed Forces to adopt more effective tactics aimed at curtailing and ending the activities of the insurgents.
