Shun Cultism, other Vices, ABSCOHMAT Rector Tells Fresh Students

The Rector, Abia State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology, Aba, Professor Chidi Felix Ezeama has charged fresh students of the institution to shun cultism and other vices for them to succeed.

Professor Ezeama gave this charge during the week-long orientation held for the fresh students of the institution.
He also enjoined the students to take their studies seriously to enable them make the required grades, adding that the institution will not tolerate truancy and non- commitment to studies.

According to the Rector, the students are lucky to have been admitted now that the institution has been enlisted for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
It will be recalled that the school was enlisted recently to mobilise its first set of graduate to engage the NYSC programme this November.

Meanwhile, Professor Ezeama has enumerated his achievements within the few months of his assumption as the Rector of the institution to include: enlistment of the institution to mobilise its graduates for the NYSC programme; full accreditation of the Medical Laboratory Science department by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

Others are increase in students intake; upgrading of the Public Afdministartion and Statistics programmes for Higher National Diploma (HND) which is nearing conclusion; and reduction of the school fees by 25 percent.
