Stephen Davis Boko Haram Exposé Behind Sheriff, Jonathan Emergency Chad “Venture” Visit
NewsRescue We can categorically inform our readers that the recent emergency visit to neighboring Chad by President Goodluck Jonathan and ex-Borno State Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, recently named along with former army chief Azubuike Ihejirika as Boko Haram sponsors, was not for State security business as publicized but for more personal matters involving the duo.
Since we were alerted to the emergency visit to Chad amidst the serious incriminating accusations and ongoing State security department investigations Ali Modu Sheriff is immersed in, we contacted our sources for veritable details. We have been reliably informed with evidence by contacts in Nigeria and Chad that the sudden trip to Chad is not actually related to gun-running. We were assured that the sudden press release by the Presidential Committee on gun-running in Nigeria earlier this week, and then the abrupt visit to Chad to allegedly discuss gun smuggling and Boko Haram terror proliferation, a concern the government has not had for the several years of Boko Haram carnage was just a front. The visit is unrelated to gun-running and was urgently summoned due to the risk to Sheriff and Jonathan’s personal and secret business in Nigeria and Chad. Our sources say that President Jonathan had to follow Modu Sheriff to Chad urgently to assure investors and partners of Modu Sheriff’s guaranteed impunity and attempt to restore investor confidence. The due engaged in serious personal business talks with the President of Chad behind closed doors. If ex-Governor Modu Sheriff goes down, it is believed the President of Chad, Idriss Déby may go down too. The two are “partners in crime.” Literally Modu Sheriff runs Chad. He is transported in escorted convoys in the small State due to his influence. Modu Sheriff has billions invested in oil (SAS Petroleum) and other ventures in Chad. He took former President Olusegun Obasanjo to Chad to get him involved and did the same for President Jonathan. The displacement of millions of Borno farmers freeing up large swaths of land by Boko Haram is not unrelated to ventures that will explore and exploit this land adjacent to Chad republic. The discovery of oil reserves in Borno in the Chad basin, is related to the current aggressive scramble for Borno and the spate of deadly terror which delays commercial exploration.
The Chadian government has been reported tolerant of Boko Haram terrorists in the past, opening their borders to them and their families when they flee Nigeria, to live freely. Unlike neighboring Cameroon where Modu Sheriff was arrested for Boko Haram sponsorship, the Chadian leadership are in partnership with Modu Sheriff. President Idriss Deby came into power in a 1990 coup after he led a rebel army from Sudan to take over Chad. Deby is married to Amani, the daughter of Sudan’s Janjaweed militia leader, Musa Hilal. In 2012 Deby paid $26 million dowry for her hand. Chad remains one of the most impoverished nations in Africa despite its recent oil wealth. The Jonathan trip with Sheriff was meant to be a complete secret, but pictures of Sheriff leaked.
