NewsRescue- Seriously, there’s no better advise I can give you to take into the new year, 2010, coming in a couple of days than this,- ‘Stop doing what you do not like!’.
So you don’t like your job? Then why do you keep doing it…and for how long are you still going to be doing it? Would you rather be rich in pocket but sick in the mind, than risking getting poor in pocket but healthy and rich in the mind?
Why continue the slavery? Which is all it is. As long as you study, work, marry or are engaged in any way whatsoever to an establishment, occupation, neighborhood, family member, religion, race, state, country, profession, tradition, social class or whatever else, that you do not like, YOU ARE A SLAVE!
You are enslaved in the worst way possible, worse than the domestically chained slaves of lore. In your case your imprisonment is worse because it is self inflicted. Slave in your mind and enslaved body. You are scared to stop…scared to turn away, scared to walk away. You have little faith. You do not want to take the risk. What if I studied this? Why study farming over Medicine? In medicine there’s job security…even though I know my mind will ever be insecure.
What if I left this relationship? Perhaps I would never find another to love me or to love as much as I have in this unrequited affair.
Travel abroad? Where? What if? What if? What if?
Well, what if you died soon…as we all will anyway. What a shame that we never explored our true potential and never enjoyed our freedom, but remained prisoners of circumstance, shackled by such strong chains in our minds, chains from our conditioning, chains from our lack of faith and faith in a lacking. The Bible says so beautifully in Mathew 6:24-35:
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
So, first we must liberate ourselves from the shackles of fear, from insecurity, from lack of faith. Allow your credit to spoil a little. You may loose your home, yup, move in with a friend, or a total stranger. You may even sleep on the street for a bit. But for most, the process of liberation, freedom and self direction won’t even get to these points.

Then reveal and totally unleash the real you. Your potential. Stop running on your kinetic energy, the course and career you were spun into from a young age. You know you are a poet. Write! You know you can draw better than your current book keeping career. Go do it. You know you love nature and farming. Grab a hoe. You know you love to wrestle…go fight. You know you have an uncanny ability to figure out how to break in to homes…well, don’t go rob, but you may want to write books on burgling.
At this point a very important aspect of liberation must be underscored. YOU ARE NOT IN IT FOR THE MONEY! if what you want is money, then I have no solution for you. You will remain a slave of money from today till the day you die, whether you have lots of it or little. But if you are looking for happiness and real success, then money must not be the reason.
Indeed when we liberate ourselves this 2010, some of us will actually finally reap great financial rewards from revealing our God-given amazing talents and some of us won’t, but we all will at last be satisfied.
Every human being has a unique skill and talent that if rightly revealed, polished, and marketed, can make him the richest man alive. But not everyone will reveal this skill, and not every one is a marketer, few have marketing skills and fewer still will meet marketers to market their unique talent to the right audience to cash in. There are marketers, and hopefully NewsRescue will update this article with a list of marketers for people who wish to commercialize their revealed skills come 2010.
But what we all will gain, is the love, happiness and satisfaction from us the one, certain customer of our skill. We, and our close loved ones will at last feel our radiance and enjoy the emanation of the god in us. We will at last unveil us in full splendor!
The great Muslim Sufi poet and saint, Rumi said: “the world in which every one asks how you are, and no one asks ‘how you aren’t’.” This precisely highlights the falseness of our life. ‘How are you’. And we answer- ‘fine’. And so we keep on, day in and day out as we go to work as slaves working jobs we don’t want. Run this simple test to see if you should stay at work another day or not. It’s simple. Do you stay on at work when you do not have to or not?
If you stay on…and even love to continue your work from home at your own volition. Then you are in a career you like and can stay in it. But if everyday at work you look at the clock and wish hours of your life to go by. You pray for the time to speed up and in effect you pray for some portion of your life to wrap itself up and you move closer to death. Then you should send in your resignation asap!
