RE: WAEC EXAMINATON TIMETABLE IS AN INVITATION TO CHAOS
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), wishes to inform the general public that no examination has been fixed between 1pm and 3pm on any Friday as being alleged by the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC).
The Council has been conducting the November/December West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), for private candidates for several years now and there has never been any complaint about its timetable from any religious organization.
MURIC in its press release alleged that on Friday, 11th September, 2015 there will be Forestry 2 (Essay) 13hrs to 15hrs. However, the Council’s timetable indicates that the paper is for candidates in Ghana only.
Moreover, the Government paper scheduled for Friday, 18th September, 2015 is from 2pm to 4pm and not 1pm to 3pm as alleged by MURIC.
Furthermore, on Friday, 25th September, 2015 there is no examination from 12noon to 3pm contrary to the claims by MURIC that Further Mathematics paper has been scheduled to be taking from 14hrs to 15:30hrs.
In addition, MURIC in its press release alleged that there will be Applied Electricity 2&1 from 13hrs to 15hrs on Friday, 2nd October, 2015. This is also false as Basic Electricity 2&1 has been fixed from 2pm to 4pm.
The Council wishes to advise well meaning Nigerians to disregard the claims by the Muslim Rights Concern as it was obvious that the Group did not take into cognizance the fact that this was an international timetable and the time zone is GMT.
