Nigerians have continued to criticize the appointment of Sade Tinubu, the daughter of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the new Iyaloja-General of Nigeria.
Market activities in Lagos were paralyzed on Monday as Sade was installed Iyaloja-General of Nigeria by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu 1.
The coronation has been greeted with criticisms by Nigerians, who are of the opinion that it is unpopular for Tinubu to impose his daughter on market women.
In their reactions on social network sites and on radio this morning, Nigerians likened the antics of the All People’s Congress, APC leader to that of a slave master.
They questioned the credentials of Sade as the choice candidate appointed to step into the late Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji’s position.
Also, another relative of Tinubu, Alhaja Fatima Bintu Tinubu, was installed as the Iyalode of Lagos yesterday.
One of the embittered Lagosians who spoke on a radio program in Lagos, Nigeria this morning said “Tinubu is a slave master. He makes sure that his families occupy every important position in Lagos. What is Sade’s antecedent to be crowned Iyaloja-General? We are highly disappointed.”
