- 80 corrupt senators had accompanied Saraki to the hearing to tamper with justice by attempting to intimidate the Code of Conduct tribunal.
In his ruling in Abuja, the Chairman, Code of Conduct Tribunal Hon Danladi Yakubu Umar, alongside with a Hon Member Agwadza William Atedze unanimously adjourned to 5thand 6th of November 2015 for reporting and hearing pending the judgement from Court of Appeal, as mark of respect, the Chairman added; with the amendment of criminal justice system it allows the Tribunal to continue with the matter before it without staying in it proceedings.
The prosecuting Counsels lead by Rotimi Jacob (SAN), at the commencement of the trial expressed displeasure on how the appellate Court fixed 19th October, 2015 for the judgement but when they arrived on the day for judgement they were told it was not ready.
Mr Jacob prayed that: in view of the fact that they are waiting to the judgement of the Court of Appeal, there is the need to respect the integrity of the superior court and wait for two week within which to have its judgement.
The defence Counsel lead by M.A Magaji stated that he will not object the prayers of the prosecuting counsel for adjournment, but he said it would be proper to adjourn it indefinitely as the case with Court of Appeal, since it pronouncement is dependent upon whether the Tribunal would proceed the case before it or otherwise.
