Abuja – The deputy paramount ruler of Ikeinghenbiri Kingdom in Bayelsa State has allegedly been abducted by gunmen who stormed his residence in the early hours of Saturday morning, PUNCH reports.
The three suspects, two of which were alleged to have been adorned in uniforms from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, took the man onto a waiting speedboat and sped off to an unknown location.
Asinim Butswat, PR Officer at the Bayelsa Command, said that officials had been briefed on the incident and that a manhunt had been launched in order to catch the suspects and free the victim.
