Boko Haram: Adamawa Varsity Reopens, Recruits 80 Hunters, Civilian-JTF To Boost Security

The authorities of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, have recruited 80 vigilante men and hunters to ensure the security of the university community. Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Joshua Shall, disclosed this to newsmen in Mubi on Thursday, just as the institution resumes academic activities.

Shall said that the institution was aware of the complementary role played by the vigilante groups and hunters assisting the military to recapture Mubi town in Adamawa  after it was over ran by insurgents in October 2014, and therefore decided to recruited them to continue with their complementary role.
