Borno JTF: We’ve Killed Boko Haram Commander Who Killed General Shuwa

The Nigerian military Joint Task Force (JTF) in Maiduguri today claimed that they killed the Boko Haram’s Commander that murdered retired army general  Gen. Mamman Shuwa in Maiduguri recently.

JTF said it killed the  the sect commander in an ongoing operation by combined forces of the  JTF, State Security Service and other security agencies.

The spokesperson of the JTF, Lt. Col Sagir Musa stated in a brief email sent to SaharaReporters,  that: “During the offensive, and in a counter attack, a major commander of the Boko Haram sect, commanding the North-east and North-west of Maiduguri, by the name, Ibn Saleh Ibrahim, with some of his commanders and foot soldiers, was killed by our own troops. The late Ibn Saleh was confirmed to be responsible for the recent assassination of Nigeria’s civil war hero, late General Mamman Shuwa, through the orders of leader of the Boko Haram terrorist sect, Abubakar Shekau”.

Sagir further stated that new military  operations to  capture  Boko Haram top commanders have commenced.
