- UPDATE; 09/14/2014: DHQ Confirms NewsRescue Exclusive Alert On Missing (Only) Jet Used Against Boko Haram
NewsRescue
We have received worrisome information that the Nigerian army Alpha jet used in yesterday’s victorious battle against the Boko Haram insurgents at Konduga is now missing.
In yesterday’s fire for fire with the Boko Haram insurgents in Konduga where scores where killed and the Nigerian Army emerged victorious, the only Alpha Jet that came in for aerial support is now missing, according to NewsRescue sources in Abuja.
It is speculated that the jet crashed due to technical faults and the pilots are still missing. The jet was said to be on its way back to the Yola base after successful assignment when it went out of radar.
At this time we cannot confirm if the jet was struck by terrorists’ fire.
It is distressing that there is only one olden day Alpha jet engaged in the serious war against Boko Haram terror in the northeast despite over 16 billion dollars supposedly spent on security since the war against Boko Haram started in 2011.
The President of Nigeria has 11 private jets for his personal merriment and the transport of his friends including ex-terrorists and terror sponsors, yet the Nigerian army relies on only a single jet bomber to combat very dangerous politically sponsored terror in the nation’s north.
Our efforts to reach the army for comment have been unsuccessful.
We will update you on the latest developments on this exclusive breaking story…
