We got a notice by Idris Ahmed of CUPS that the Director General of Nigeria’s Security department, DSS/SSS and his entire family were just denied visas to the US.
This happening as the US decided to sanction Nigeria’s first lady, Patience Jonathan, a former Niger Delta minister, Godsday Orubebe, and the governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, and others accused of either disrupting the just concluded elections, or instigating violence.
The accused are all to be banned from travel to the US and may have their assets frozen and seized.
Nigerians interviewed see this as a welcome development and something Nigerians have been clamoring for for years.
