#GodwinMustGo: The Campaign To Remove Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor

Godwin Emefiele

NewsRescue

It confounds the imagination that Godwin Emefiele is still in office today.

At the helm of the Dasuki and Diezani coordinated open heist of the Nigerian economy sat the Central bank governor, Godwin Emefiele.

According to court documents, as little as hand written notes were used to authorize the release of truckloads of local and foreign currencies from the apex bank vaults.

Billions of naira and dollar withdrawals were authorized to various PDP politicians’ companies in a flurry of illegal transactions being probed today, directly from the main bank vault as approved by Godwin. Yet Godwin is still sipping tea behind his mahogany table!

While supervising the free plunder of the Nigerian economy, the current central bank governor also was the one responsible for the economic policies that emptied the nation of all earnings and made it BROKE.

As the current government complains of the country being too broke and imposes electricity tariffs, road use taxes and fuel taxes on the masses, it begs belief that the man who made Nigeria broke is still comfortably in office.

Godwin Emefiele has not done a single thing or instituted a single policy that favors the masses. He is a cabal fraternal banker who has maintained and added several layers of taxation on Nigerians even through the banking system in a ponzi-type scheme: tax to deposit, tax to withdraw, stamp tax, tax per mile and other illegal bank taxes on the masses’ own money, unheard of across the world.

The only people the governor has favored are politicians and the cabal whose investments he secures and who he promises unfettered access to CBN rate dollars for their refinery and other private projects while he denies the masses and small businesses any access to same. His policies have been directly implicated in the loss of 1.5 million jobs the past year and the current Nigerian recession.

During former President Goodluck Jonathan’s time; when the president obviously did not like the then CBN governor now Emir Sanusi Lamido, it was obvious that Jonathan was going to apply any means possible to get him out of the office. But today, while Godwin Emefiele stands indicted in robbing and persecuting the entire 170 million Nigerian masses, a year after taking office there is no visible urgency to have this character fired and prosecuted. It is surprising.

Implicated in nepotism, after secretly and illegally hiring family members of top politicians including a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, Godwin Emefiele was accused of bribing a group of alleged extortionist lawyers who charged him and the FGN to court for nepotism and other infractions.

If Buhari will not; we the people must rise up and get Godwin out. This is our country. Public officers are our servants. Having Godwin remain in power is like having Jonathan, Diezani, Dasuki and Badeh remain in power.
