Governor Nasir El-Rufai made his first public appearance in two weeks at a public rally organized by labor unions in Kaduna State. According to Vanguard, his appearance comes at a time rumors were swirling that he “was afflicted with a curse which made him sick and rushed abroad for medical attention.”
Governor El-Rufai has come under scrutiny for demolishing illegal housing structures built on public school lands.
Governor El-Rufai and his aides were seen walking to the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).
During his stroll he publicly stated that he intends to make Kaduna State “very uncomfortable for a minority who grab school lands,” referring to the squatters living on them.
He concluded his remarks by saying that “we must make sure they lose these lands, no matter what it takes.”
