Ibe Kachikwu Spends $200,000.00 on President Buhari Son’s Medical Bills in Germany – Report

LeadersNG investigations have revealed that millions of tax payers money have been expended in offsetting the medical bills of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son who is currently on admission in Germany by Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu.

Yusuf Buhari was involved in an accident on December 26 in Abuja when he, along with a friend, was racing in the Nigerian capital city when he veered off the road in the process.

Mr. Yusuf Buhari, son of President Buhari, was admitted into Cedarcrest Hospitals Abuja in the late hours of the 26th of December 2017 following injuries sustained as a rider of a motorcycle. Following initial stabilization, he was taken into intensive care. Yusuf undergone series of successful emergency surgical operations before transferring him to a German hospital in an Air Ambulance provided by Minister of state for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu according to Presidency sources.

A source at the Presidency revealed that Kachikwu has been the one funding the medical bills and other logistics of Mr Yusuf and those that traveled with him to an undisclosed German hospital.

LeadersNG further learned that over $200,000.00 has so far been spent in Germany by Ibe Kachikwu who volunteered to fund the medical trip of Mr Yusuf to Germany.

One of the sources who spoke with our correspondent was really upset! The source said; “Why should tax payers money be spent on Yusuf Buhari even though his father receives monthly salary and other benefits? The source further stated that so many ministers and Heads of agencies offered to even sponsor people to Germany to see Yusuf Buhari and pray with him! The source described the sycophancy of many cabinet members as sickening and unpatriotic.

“Nigerians are dying daily, school girls were even kidnapped in Yobe and many are out there living in hospitals because they couldn’t afford to pay their medical bills and some sycophants are here begging to sponsor people to Germany to see the President’s son”.

All efforts to reach the Petroleum minister as at the time of filing this report, proved abortive as he was not taking his calls nor replying to our text messages.
