LOADING: Trump’s First Post on Upcoming $1b Truth Social Platform

Donald Trump

Former President Donald Trump may be back on social media soon and using a platform that looks very similar to Twitter.

His son, Donald Trump Jr., tweeted a screenshot of the former president’s alleged first post on his upcoming social media platform Truth Social.

Echoing Donald Jr.’s claims, social media users claim that the beta version of Truth Social launched for certain users, including the former president.

‘TRUTH Social (beta) has dropped and President Trump is active on his own account!’ tweeted Liz Willis, VP of operations at Right Side Broadcasting Network. ‘The world is healing.’

Trump is planning to launch the Truth Social platform on February 21 – Presidents’ Day – according to its Apple App Store listing. The platform appears to be an almost exact replica of Twitter.

Trump has talked up his plans to take on Big Tech ever since he was banned from Twitter and Facebook during the aftermath of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, when his supporters attacked police and stormed Congress.

He announced he was launching Trump Media Technology Group toward the end of last year, with plans for a subscription video-on-demand service called TMTG+ with entertainment, news and podcasts, as well as the new social media platform.
