Mandela Is Gone, The World Has lost A Great Champion For The Rights Of The Oppressed.
The leadership of Nasarawa State Youths Network (An Affiliates of Congress of West African Youths) has received with much sadness, news of the sudden passing away of the highly respected freedom fighter and South Africa’s first black President.
Before his death on Thursday 5th December, 2013 after a long illness, as someone with humility, strong negotiation skills and desire for justice he earned respect as an ambassador for peace, human rights and democracy across the globe.
On behalf of my humble self, Nasarawa State Youths Network (NASTYNET), and the Congress of West African Youths (COWAY), we extend our sincerest condolences to Mandela’s family, the African National Congress (ANC), and South Africans.
Nelson Mandela will be remembered for demonstrating what is possible when people are committed to peace and reconciliation in areas of conflict.
We pray that God Almighty will comfort Mandela’s family, his colleagues in the African National Congress (ANC), and South Africans as they mourn their departed hero and leader.
Adieu Nelson Mandela.
