Mike Pence subpoenaed in special counsel investigations into Trump

On Thursday, former Vice President Mike Pence was subpoenaed as part of the special counsel investigation into former President Donald Trump.

The MSNBC host admits the inconvenient truth about Omar’s removal from the committee: ‘That’s where it started.’ ‘Not all students who menstruate are female,’ a Democratic state representative tells his colleagues. People who are irritated by a statement have a field day.

The subpoena was issued by special counsel Jack Smith, who was appointed in November by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate the classified documents seized in an FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago and the effort to overturn the 2020 election.

It’s unclear what information Smith wants from Pence, but the subpoena is said to be the result of months of talks between Pence’s team and the special counsel.

Garland stated that he decided to appoint a special counsel based on Trump’s announcement that he will run for president in 2024, as well as the assumption that Pence will also run for president.

Pence has previously stated that he would categorically refuse a subpoena from the US House committee investigating the Jan. 6 rioting at the US Capitol. That committee concluded its work after Republicans reclaimed control of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.

Trump and his supporters pressed him to refuse to certify the results of the 2020 election, but he caved despite reports that some of the rioters on Jan. 6 were out to harm him.

The discovery of similarly classified documents in the possession of both current President Joe Biden and Mike Pence has greatly complicated the investigation into Trump’s possession of classified documents.
