Nigeria went to the ballot Saturday in an epic battle between incumbent, embattled president Goodluck Jonathan and opposition candidate, ex-president Muhammadu Buhari and other assembly candidates of both parties.
The election has so far gone on with relative success though malfunctioning card readers have been reported.
While the opposition candidate had success with his registration, not surprisingly, the incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan according to reports form his Bayelsa state, did not have the same fate. Three machines “refused to work,” and he waited for a fourth according to what was said from his Otuoke village.
Someone commented on ChannelsTv that “they should go and check the jammer in Jonathan’s car jamming the signal.”
A bomb blast was reported at an Enugu polling station; Enugu is in the south east. This will be the second bombing in the state this year.
At Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s polling booth people waited but no INEC official came yet.

Comrade, Alhassan Haruna Dambatta reports from Kano:
Massive Turnout in Kano
The massive turnout of voters in Kano state have testify to the readiness of Northerners to come out en mass to vote for their preferred candidate in both the presidential and senatorial elections going one right now.
This video is of Bachirawa ward of Ungoggo local government in Kano state. The ward contains 30 polling units in which the least polling booth would have to handle more than 500 hundred potential voters, and by calculation at least 20,000 voters would have to cast their vote here today.
The accreditation is going on smoothly and peacefully as everyone is contributing his own quoter to the smooth conduct of the election and the card reader is working perfectly well only some isolated incidence that are unavoidable.
