The police in Kaduna have been reported to be denying the families the dead bodies of their loved ones.
In December last year the Kaduna state government in concert with the Nigerian military killed and secretly buried hundreds of minority Muslims after a stick and stone wielding protest.
Dozens were killed in state violence as Shia religious activities were repressed across many northern states.
Soldiers, police and thugs recruited by the authorities killed the unfortunate faithfuls.
