As a progressive minded former Student and youth leader and aspiring politician, I am PERSONALLY concerned about the future of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) as such, it is time for stakeholders of youth movements in Nigeria to come together and chart a way forward.
It is no more a news that one vibrant, dynamic and intellectually minded young man called Comrade Al-Mustapha Asuku Abdullahi from Kogi State is on race for the rebirth of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), there’s no doubt that if this young man is given opportunity as the next President of the Council, the interest of an ordinary Youth on the street of Nigeria will be protected to the highest standard of integrity.
As a matter of fact, if the stakeholders of National Youth Council of Nigeria really want to avoid the mistakes of the past where factionalization was the order of the day then they should as a matter of importance give us Comrade Al-Mustapha Asuku Abdullahi as the next President of National Youth Council of Nigeria.
It is extremely important to note that we are more comfortable with Comrade Al-Mustapha Asuku Abdullahi as the President of National Youth Council of Nigeria based on his antecedents as the ONLY credible, reliable, reputable, intelligent, energetic, discipline, dynamic, pragmatic and principled character in the next coming congress of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.
In the build up to 2015 General election, I was part and parcel of the young people in PDP that were against Al-Mustapha Asuku Abdullahi based on his unflinching and unconditional Supports for President Muhammadu Buhari without proper information about his antecedents as a young man from Kogi State, now that I know almost everything about him then I have no other option than to support the realization of his long awaited dream to lead the most formidable youth organisation in Nigeria.
I am not unmindful of the fact that some unscrupulous elements are always here on Social media to tarnish his hard earned integrity. But that will not stop some of us from drumming supports for him from the north and south of Nigeria. It will be a blessing for Nigerian Youth to have a voice again by fielding Comrade Al-Mustapha Asku Abdullahi as the President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
Therefore, without sounding sensational or being hypocritical I want to sincerely urge Nigerian youth to continue to pray for one of our own to take us to the promise land.
Pray, think, support and vote Comrade Al-Mustapha Asuku Abdullahi as the President of National Youth Council of Nigeria.
