The Islamic Movement have made a case that what got some people to go and block the Chief of Army Staff at 3pm on the fateful December 12th day of death was that earlier that day, at 12 noon, the battle-ready troops had suddenly been deployed to the NNPC opposite their center with extra bullets, with no warning.
They have provided the image above allegedly showing the soldiers who intimidated them and gave them the idea that the army had prepared a massacre for them.
The Islamic Movement pushed the soldiers back and then blocked the road telling the army when it came in full force at 3pm that they should kill them right there and not get to their center.
You may recollect that in the video, the man from the Islamic Movement is telling the soldier, “why did you station those troops at our door step without warning today?” and others are saying, “just kill us here, not at Husainiyyah center.”
