PDP apologizes to Nigerians, by Sani Tukur,

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party has apologised to Nigerians for some of the mistakes the party made while it was in power between 1999 and 2015.

The party’s apologies were conveyed by the Chairman of the planning committee of the PDP National Conference, Raymond Dokpesi while addressing the media Tuesday in Abuja.

“We are aware of the errors of the past 16 years, as human beings, we must have made mistakes and we could not meet the expectations of Nigerians, for that we tender an unreserved apology,” Mr. Dokpesi said.

“Make no mistake, the PDP is aware that there were errors made along the way.

“We admit that at certain times in our past, mistakes have been made, we did not meet the expectations of Nigerians,” he said.

Mr. Dokpesi, who also announced that the party’s national conference would hold at the Thisday Dome in Abuja on Thursday said the PDP had learnt from its mistakes and that the conference was planned to find ways of reviewing issues fundamental to the promotion and sustenance of good governance and democratic ideals in Nigeria.

Mr. Dokpesi identified some of the mistakes made by the PDP to included a deviation from the vision and principles of the founding fathers of the party.

He also said the party’s decision to abandon its zoning formula greatly led to its predicament.

“The first fundamental mistake was made in 2010-2011 by not allowing the North to complete its tenure,” he said.

PDP Godfather Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida

He also said the decision to block other party members interested in running for the presidency against former President Goodluck Jonathan and the abandonment of internal democracy as well as the inability to ensure that the party was supreme in all matters contributed to the problems of the PDP.

Mr. Dokpesi said the national conference would show Nigerians that the leadership of the PDP “mean business” and “are determined to turn things around”.

He said as a fallout of the matters arising from the last general elections, it had become necessary to bring together the different stakeholders of the PDP in a National Conference that would critically review the current state of affairs in the party and suggest modalities that would allow the party return to power at all levels of governance across the country. Read full on PT

He died on Saturday 7 November 2015 in his home at Ayodele Adelaja street in Imoba compound in Igando Ikotun where he lived with his family.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the late Adelaja was suspended by PDP for the role he played during the last election in the state.

He was still serving the suspension before he died.

The residents said he might have died as a result of the pressures from the suspension and the death of his wife but all that is speculation.

When our reporter visited his home at Ikotun, his family members, friends, neighbours and well wishers gathered there to sympathize with the family.

Some of the sympathizers expressed shock over what happened and prayed that God would give the family the fortitude to bear the lost.

P.M.NEWS gathered that his corpse has been deposited at a mortuary pending his burial.

NewsRescue

October 29th, 2015

We have received multiple reports of panic among former loyalists of President Goodlcuk Jonathan and PDP party members over the recent deaths and chronic illnesses of PDP staunch men and party loyalists.

Latest Party man to die is the PDP Candidate in the immediate past April 11 Gubernatorial election in Plateau State, Senator Gyang Nyam Shom Pwajok. He died in India after a liver/kidney illness that started in May this year after the elections. He was 48.

Former godfather to president Goodluck Jonathan, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha died this October 10th in a hospital in Port Harcourt from blood pressure related disorders after a rumor of a fake call for his extradition cooked up by someone on Nairaland found its way into some more popular media and caused him to panic and flee Dubai where he was receiving medical therapy.

Others who have been seriously ill include the immediate former Vice President, Namadina Sambo who is still learning to walk again in the US after major limb-saving surgery. He was almost to loose his left  leg but a complex, expensive procedure saved enough of the leg for him to be able to try to locomote again.

The past minister of oil, Diezani Alison Madueke is also battling with breast cancer allegedly in the UK, where she has been arrested for curruption, though her exact health state is unknown.

The Ooni Of Ife

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuade who broke formation with Yorubas and threw his weight behind Goodluck Jonathan can be added to the list. He passed this August, three months after Buhari’s inauguration.

Late Sijuwade said:

“We want total representation. There are ongoing projects in Osun State and we know there is paucity of fund but we want you to finish all the projects.

“Ife and Ijesa are large enough to form a state of their own. We want you to create Oduduwa State with its headquarters in Ile Ife. We also seek the implementation of the Confab report. We throw our weight behind you.”

He further said,

Be rest assured that Obas and indigenes of Osun State are solidly behind you.”

The prayer session organised by his court for Jonathan’s candidacy can hardly be forgotten

Bishop Oyedepo Curse? Chibok Girls’ Prayers?

A recent article claimed that the prayers of a Nigerian foremost pastor, Bishop David Oyedepo, reigning curses on whoever was linked to the Boko haram crises and the corruption and destruction of Nigeria will be consumed by fire, which was supported with thousands of “Amens” from the congregation could be responsible for the sudden sickness and death in the PDP family. PDP Politicians Getting Scared

Several PDP top politicians including serving governors are said to be in serious prayer and fasting and consulting their marabouts to see if they are actually under a curse. Other are said to be openly abandoning the party and condemning it and the former Jonathan government, as advised from their spiritualists as a method of redemption.

Several sources have confirmed that the PDP got involved in very strange rituals in desperation to defeat current president Buhari and make wins in the States, due to fear of prosecution for gross and deadly corruption. This, they say may not be unrelated to the fears and sickness and deaths.

PDP left nothing sacred during the elections, preaching from pulpit to pulpit while simultaneously setting off Namadi Sambo to trigger religious conflict.
