A bomb was reported to have exploded in Kano, the bomb was believed to have exploded in the midst of brothers of the Islamic movement on procession to Zaria.

The incident was reported to have taken place at Dakasoye, a village along Kura.

It was further reported that at least 10 individuals were believed to have been injured by the bomb explosion. Update: as many as 20 are feared dead.

The Islamic movement brothers refused to allow any one near the scene but were reportedly seen carrying the bodies of the victims and proceeding towards Zaria.

More reports indicate that one of the bombers was caught but while giving information about the second bomber the bomb of the second bomber was triggered by the bomber.

It was also corrected that ten people were believed to be injured but not dead.

It can be recollected that in July of 2014, the Zakzaky Islamic movement brothers were targeted by the then Jonathan government as 33 members including three sons of the Sheikh were shot dead by soldiers during a peaceful procession.

Boko Haram followed up the army attack with a bombing of an Islamic movement mosque in Yobe the next week.

The Zakzaky group are renowned for their peace motives including recently protecting Churches in Kaduna.
